About Us

Our Goal Is To Help People

Family Psychological Center, P.A. was established in 2000 to provide effective, caring, and easily accessible behavioral health services to individuals and families of Harrison, Arkansas, and the surrounding areas of northern Arkansas and south-central Missouri.

In A Comfortable Private Practice Setting

We offer a wide range of effective, evidence-based services in a comfortable private practice setting. Our facilities and mindset are personable,  warm, and family friendly. Children and parents often comment on how comfortable our facilities and staff make them feel, including our superhero-themed patient bathroom, selection of children's books and toys, and comfortable seating.

To Help You Reach Your Goals

Our goal is to help our clients grow from  struggles, heal from pain, and move forward to achieve the life they want to live. If you would like to set up an appointment to see one of our helping professionals, please call us at (870) 743-6225 to learn how to get started.

Child Behavior and Parent Management Training

Child Behavior and Parent Management Training

Child Behavior and Parent Management Training

Children and adolescents with depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, trauma, learning disorders, and disruptive behavior conditions often do not know how to effectively deal with life's challenges. They may act out angrily, isolate, falter academically, or engage in high-risk behaviors--creating additional distress

Children and adolescents with depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, trauma, learning disorders, and disruptive behavior conditions often do not know how to effectively deal with life's challenges. They may act out angrily, isolate, falter academically, or engage in high-risk behaviors--creating additional distress for them as well as their parents and families. While helping your child with his or her difficulties, we also encourage regular parental involvement in treatment, support families and parents by helping them understand their child or adolescent, and implement effective strategies to provide emotional support and manage challenging behaviors.

Relationships

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.

Relationship counseling is often beneficial for couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Couples therapy provides a neutral, supportive place to understand one another, develop more effective mutual communication skills, resolve impasses, and develop solutions together to overcome challenges and strengthen their relationships.
