Our clinical staff provides a wide range of assessment and therapy services for children and adolescents, including testing for autism spectrum disorder (ASD), specific learning disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), disruptive and defiant behaviors, intellectual and developmental delays, depression, anxiety, and parent-child or child-child conflicts. These problems are best identified and understood by gathering a detailed developmental history from the parent and child, obtaining information from school staff, interacting with your child, and completing comprehensive testing to identify, clarify, and determine the severity of his or her symptoms.
When conducting testing, we use the most up-to-date, rigorously validated psychological testing instruments that are hand-picked to your child or adolescent's needs. We assess youths in the areas of intelligence, academic achievement, emotional functioning, behavioral functioning, cognitive proficiency, memory, emerging personality patterns, parent-child relational dynamics, social-communication functioning, and stereotypical behavior patterns.
Because many childhood conditions share common symptoms and can also be uniquely shaped by personal experience (e.g., trauma, family religious beliefs, socioeconomic status, ethnic background, etc.), a thorough multi-method assessment is needed to accurately identify the source(s) of each child or teen's problems.
Often these challenges are best treated with parent and family involvement in sessions. If you are the parent or guardian, you may download and complete the intake forms for your child or adolescent and drop it off with us or mail to our office. The Patient Notice of Privacy Practices form (see Intake Forms
on this website) must also be printed, signed, and included with your child's intake forms. Once we receive all these intake forms, we will work to schedule your child or adolescent as soon as possible!
